Each of the MCCCC centres has a proud history and strong identity, and yet as members of the association, they share the same commitment to providing a quality early years program that is play-based and developed from the children's interests.
Our staff come from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. Our program too draws on a wide range of theories and theorists and as a result we believe the program we provide is not only meeting the needs and interests of our particular children, but is also based on sound best practice.
The planning is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and all centres place particular emphasis on active outdoor play, and building relationships. Each child's social and emotional development is paramount as we believe that is critical for not just the school years that lay ahead, but further on into adulthood.

My child has been going to the Tinning Street centre for two years now. I initially picked this centre because of its Excellent rating from the Department of Education and I have been really happy with the excellent quality care that we've received. (We're also so relieved that the non-stop sickness that we experienced at the centre we previously attended has stopped! Obviously health and hygiene practices are so much better here than at our last centre). Because its a community based centre, the management is really responsive, profits obviously get reinvested in the quality of the program (high quality staff, excursions, incursions), and the sense of community with other families at the centre is really nice. Unlike the previous centre we attended, Tinning Street has really experienced staff and low turnover (of staff and families). The atmosphere is fantastic and the integrated kindergarten program for three and four year old children is very good. The centre is a bit shabby looking, but the outdoor spaces are great and my child found it very cozy and welcoming from the start. My little one loves going and we'll definitely plan on staying with this centre until starting school.
Moreland Community Child Care Centre Tinning Street encourages early learning and child care who provide the foundation for children to develop both educationally and socially in a safe environment while supporting parents into work. Did you know? The Australian Government provides a number of subsidies and programs to help you with the cost of your childcare.
