Bumble Bee Schoolhouse recognises the Wurundjeri people, the traditional owners of the land on which we are able to serve this local community. We seek and accept the customs and culture in which they bring in the nurturing of their children, their participation in the community and developing their sense of wellbeing.
We also acknowledge the fundamental rights of children, as stipulated in the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child (1991). These rights include the rights to feel safe, unique, secure and respected as an important member of the community. They have the right to play as a key component of their learning process. We will also provide the children with a natural environment, which is reflective of the natural world we live in and to encourage learning about being respectful of this environment.
Bumble Bee Schoolhouse encourages early learning and child care who provide the foundation for children to develop both educationally and socially in a safe environment while supporting parents into work. Did you know? The Australian Government provides a number of subsidies and programs to help you with the cost of your childcare.
