Dederang Primary School Care

At Dederang PS we have noticed a need for good quality, caring, educative and local early childhood support in the Dederang Community, therefore we have decided to run a 3-5 year old Childcare and Kinder program on site at Dederang Primary School inspired by the Reggio Emilia, approach to early childhood learning.  Given community support for us to run an integrated 4 YO kinder program on Tuesdays-Thursdays as part of our 3-5 Childcare program, we have joined the Reggio Emilia Australia Information Exchange and plan to use the Reggio Emilia philosophies (summarised below) to inspire and inform our pedagogical practice.  The Australian Government provides financial support for this long day care child care service under the Community Support Program.
